It is human nature that we experience comfort in familiarity, routine and predictability. Naturally, this means that we will exhibit resistance towards change. However, father time and life is an undefeated enigma of chaos.
No matter how much we resist, the world will change. Sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. So while we won't like it, it is vital that we preserve our ability to and are ready to adapt to and find peace with change.
Because even our own disdain for change will pass and change with time. As the new and the unknown becomes familiar, routine and predictable.
Change is inevitable.
So instead of fighting to remain in the past, focus your energy on building/adapting to the new, the present and the future.
CHANGE IS INEVITABLE
CHERISH PEACE AND THE GOOD TIMES
We go through the mundane peaceful moments of life without any regard. Some can find them to be boring, repetitive and predictable. Whether that is another relaxing evening of doing nothing, a family dinner, the usual catch up and hobbies with friends, to having a meal at our go to resturant. They are familiar experiences that we often take for granted, unaware that these moments are fleeting and will change over time.
Whether that is friends getting older, getting married, having children or elderly family members passing on, or experiencing mental and physical health declines, family and friends will pass, grow and change. Forever changing the nature of these moments and in some cases ending these moments, to never be experienced again.
The amount of time we have on this planet is finite. The same applies to the time that we can give others and the experiences that we share together.
Be aware of the fleeting nature of life.
To not take life and time for granted.
To cherish peace and the good times, always.
SPRING ALWAYS COMES AFTER WINTER
We know that life and it's moments are impermanent. So whether that is our greatest, ordinary or worse moments, they are temporary. Because life moves on indescriminatively.
Take the seasons for example:
- Spring brings renewal, hope and growth
- Summer brings joy, connection and passion
- Autumn brings introspection, change and bittersweetness
- Winter brings solitude, melancholy and stillness.
This cycle is mirrored by the moments and emotions of our life. That the cycle of change is perpectual. That we will experience rough seasons in our lives. That no matter how harsh the winter gets, it too will pass and spring will come.
For us to continue to survive and work, because change will come.
Warm and brighter days.
Easier and relaxing days.
Happy days to be shared with others.
